Future Leaders of the Fayetteville Fire/Emergency Management Department

Twenty three members of the department have recently completed the FFD Officer Development Program.  This is a very demanding program that teaches employees several different aspects of the job and responsibilities of being a supervisor.  During this 90 hour course, students cover an array of topics that include the roles of the fire officer, importances of ISO inspections and how they affect the community, recognizing and managing cultural diversity, how buidling codes and inspections play a vital role in the deparments mission, and several other important topics that are directly affected by those in supervisory positions.  It is the intent of this program to develop and better prepare our personnel to become future leaders of this department.
