Since 9/11, communities and local/state governments are re-evaluating Public Safety Services and programs to meet the growing threat of terrorism and natural disasters. Through lessons learned and by studying other communities’ challenges, the Fayetteville Fire/Emergency Management Department is doing the same.
The Emergency Medical Technician/Rescue program is constantly changing and improving by keeping abreast of the changes and new technology to better serve customers and citizens.
The Hazardous Materials Team also uses advanced technology in order to provide service to the local community and their designated Regional Response Team 3.
A new addition is the Collapse Search and Rescue Team. This provides us with an additional capability to rescue persons trapped in various collapse situations.
Since the installation of Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting simulators and trainers, the Fayetteville Fire Department is able to provide hands-on training for its personnel plus other fire departments and airports.
