Code Enforcement/Inspections

The Fayetteville Fire Department Fire Prevention Division has many responsibilities that include Code Enforcement. These state mandated inspections are conducted using the most current version of the North Carolina State Fire Code. Along with these state mandated inspections, this division also conducts the following:

  • Plans review for new construction
  • A.L.E. Inspections
  • School and daycare inspections
  • Foster Home inspections (as a courtesy only, when requested)
  • Group home inspections
  • Aboveground/Underground tank installations and removals
  • Fire alarm and sprinkler system acceptance testing
  • Night inspections
  • Assist with fire/evacuation drills
  • Receive and respond to citizen complaints and inquiries
The Fire Prevention Division is located on the third floor of City Hall located at 433 Hay St.
